What is a cookie?

To enable cookies in Internet Explorer 6, perform the following steps

  • From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

  • From the Internet Properties dialog box, on the Privacy tab, click Advanced.

  • From the Advanced Privacy Settings dialog box, click to select Override automatic cookie handling.

  • Under First-Party Cookies and Third-party Cookies, click to select Accept.

  • Click to select Always allow session cookies.

  • Click OK.

  • From the Internet Properties dialog box, click OK.

  • You may also need to click on the Refresh button in the top toolbar to activate Cookies on the current page.

To enable javascript in Internet Explorer 6, perform the following steps

  • From the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

  • From the Internet Properties dialog box, click to select the Security tab.

  • The Default Level settings for Internet, Local Intranet and Trusted Sites should enable scripting. To check this select the required Web content zone and click on the Custom Level button.

  • In the Security Settings box check that Scripting is enabled.

  • If any settings are changed, click on the Apply button.

  • You may also need to click on the Refresh button in the top toolbar to activate Javascript on the current page.
