The well-being law (welzijnswet ) of 4 August 1996 requires employers to implement a global prevention policy. Based on this legislation the social partners concluded in 1999 Collective Labour Agreement (CAO) no. 72, giving more concrete form to policy to prevent stress at work. This CAO states that the employer is required to implement a policy to collectively prevent and/or remedy work-caused stress The CAO goes on to state that, for implementing this stress policy, the employer must track down possible stress risks in the general analysis of the work situation. This analysis must relate to four specific stress risk areas. These are Job content, Working conditions, Terms of employment and Labour relations.
-
ZebraZone offers the possibility to perform this risk analysis through the ZebraZone risk-inventarisation & -evaluation model (the ZebraZone RIE-model). The ZebraZone RIE-model uses 4 KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators). These KPIs correspond to the 4 stress risk areas which CAO no. 72 explicitly asks for, that is Job content, Working conditions, Terms of employment and Labour relations.

-
The ZebraZone RIE-model may be considered as an extension of the ZebraZone stress model. Both models are indeed based on the same questionnaire, and thus on the same dataset. However, compared to the current stress model, the RIE-model differs in the way in which the questionnaire is translated into reports. Whereas for the ZebraZone stress model, we make use of 11 KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), i.e. very specific and action focused stressors and energy sources, we use 4 of these KPI’s in the RIE-model.
-
The ZebraZone RIE-model is also available as an extension of the ZebraZone satisfaction model. Whereas the current satisfaction model uses 11 KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators), which are very specific and action focused satisfaction indicators, the RIE-model uses 4 KPI’s.
-
These factors conform totally to the very specific questions of CAO no. 72 and the text based on them: ‘Voorkoming van stress’ (Prevention of stress) published by the NAR. The RIE model also meets the most recent legislation on this matter (publication in the Belgian official gazette - Belgisch staatsblad - concerning the latest legislative amendment: 06/06/2007).
-
As well as measurement, ZebraZone also offers analysis and reporting in the area of the 4 above-cited stress risk areas from the ZebraZone RIE model. In this way reporting is in full conformity with the socio-legal requirements set by CAO no. 72. In addition the global results of the ZebraZone RIE model can be compared with the ZebraZone benchmark data.
