The ZebraZone stress model consists of three concepts: stress factors, energy sources and strain. These are measured by means of some 60 standard questions.
Stress factors are all the factors at the workplace which cause stress and strain. Constraining these factors will offer a solution for stress in the long term. The stress concept consists of 5 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Energy sources are factors at the workplace which reduce stress and strain. The more energy sources present, the better the employee will be able to deal with stress. The energy sources consist of 6 KPIs.

Strain is the physical and psychological expression of stress. It shows the extent to which employees suffer from stress and how this stress is expressed. It is these expressions of stress which cause a drop in productivity and contribute to a general decrease in job satisfaction. Strain is divided into 4 KPIs.
